Carl Froch says Dillian Whyte, who beat Oscar Rivas in heavyweight boxing, is one of the "most fearsome men in heavyweight"

Whyte took to the floor against Rivas in order to win a unanimous decision, handing the dangerous Colombian his first loss of his professional career.

He won the WBC interim title and the mandatory status to the belt currently held by Deontay wilder.

Froch stated that Froch is slowly becoming one the most fearful heavyweight boxers because no one wants to take him one.

He's becoming a solid, experienced professional. He is able to mix it up with Oscar Rivas when there are big hooks flying both directions, and he is relaxed.

He didn't have it all his way. Dillian Whyte gave a solid performance all around, including the uppercut.

"He is a worthy world champion now, and I am certain he will."

Fellow fighter-turned-pundit Tony Bellew added: "He boxed brilliantly at times. He was strong and had a long, strong jab.

Rivas was hurt early and he won the fight. Rivas beat him outboxing a world-class fighter, because that's who Rivas is.

"He likes getting up close and making it rough and ready, which Dillian did at times tonight. But most importantly, he dictated from center of the ring with that jab."
