It was a fight I had been looking forward to and I was disappointed by the postponement. Although it appeared that Fury would win, Wilder is a big puncher and it was impossible to write Fury off.

Fury will be more hurt by this delay. Although they have been out of the Ring for approximately the same time, Wilder will still be hungry and has a point. Many people have written him off and ridiculed him. He has been subject to a lot of abuse on social media.

Wilder will be like a man on fire training for this fight. Fury fought Fury the first time he was not in good shape, and still won the fight. He then absolutely beat him in the rematch. Fury might have thought, "Do I really need it?"

He will know that Wilder can knock him out, so he will train hard. However, I believe this delay is more concerning for Fury than for Wilder.

Fury is passionate about the sport. You can see him at the gym and on social media when he's working out. You can only keep yourself motivated if you aren't busy or there isn't anything happening. After a cruciate ligament repair, I was out of action for seven to eight months. Inactivity can cause you to lose your focus. I was still hungry for the game, and I still had a lot of work to do. I was not even a world champion.

It's quite a while when you're Fury or Wilder. Rob McCracken, my trainer, said to me that when I retired, "Listen, if your goal is to return to the ring, you should do it before one year. Because once you have had a year off, it almost feels like you are starting over." Although it isn't starting over for Fury or Wilder, it's a huge time to leave the ring.

This makes a world title fight between Fury or Anthony Joshua seem more likely. AJ will be fighting Usyk, which is a difficult fight. What if Fury vs Wilder 3 is delayed yet again? Although we hope the fight will go ahead, it is not good to wait, especially after you have been out for 17 months.

Based on Fury's second performance against Wilder and the manner in which he got his distance and range, I think Wilder has Wilder's number. He should win the fight again.

Fury made use of his height, reach and weight advantage to fight and was a natural fighter. Wilder's only hope is to cut Fury if he isn't focused. Fury won't be switched on, but I doubt it, so I would still choose Fury, either on points or another stoppage.
